Welcome to the Orcas Group Blog

Why we started this blog
Orcas Group works at the intersection of AI systems, cybersecurity, and custom software engineering.
In our day-to-day work, we build and scale production systems — ranging from AI-driven automation and internal tools to secure enterprise platforms and cloud architectures. We help startups ship their first MVP and we help enterprises modernize infrastructure that millions of users depend on.
This blog is where we will share the practical lessons that come from that work.
Not theory. Not hype. Real engineering patterns, product decisions, and system-level insights from building and shipping production software.
What you will find here
We are structuring the blog around four core categories that map directly to the work we do and the questions our clients ask most often.
Product Updates
Feature releases, platform improvements, and what we are actively building inside Orcas Group. When we ship a new capability — whether it is a security hardening tool, an AI automation framework, or a consulting methodology — this is where we explain what it does and why we built it.
Guides
Practical, problem-driven walkthroughs that explain how to solve real engineering and product challenges. These are not generic tutorials. They are built from actual engagements: how to choose the right architecture for a SaaS platform, how to structure an outsourcing relationship, or how to evaluate an AI vendor. Our guide on what is IT consulting outsourcing is a good example of the depth we aim for.
Engineering
Deep dives into system design, architecture decisions, and implementation patterns used in production environments. We have already published detailed looks at React Query patterns we use in production and what it takes to go from an AI demo to shipping production AI agents. Expect more of the same: specific, tested, and production-hardened.
Industry Trends
Clear, opinionated analysis of where the market is heading in AI, software engineering, and infrastructure — and what it means for builders. We do not chase headlines. We write about shifts that affect real roadmaps: budget allocations, technology maturity curves, and structural changes in how engineering teams operate. Our analysis of AI spend in 2026 covers exactly that kind of shift.
Our approach
The goal of this blog is simple: signal, not noise.
Every article will be written with one purpose: to answer a specific question clearly, completely, and practically.
That means:
- No filler content. If a paragraph does not move the argument forward, it does not belong.
- No surface-level explanations. We assume you are technical enough to handle detail, and we respect your time enough to go deep.
- No recycled generic advice. Everything here comes from systems we have built, problems we have solved, and patterns we have validated in production.
Only real insights from real systems.
What this means for you
If you are building software, scaling systems, or working with AI in production, this blog is designed to help you:
- Avoid common architecture mistakes by learning from patterns that have already been tested at scale.
- Understand production-grade patterns for frontend state management, AI agent design, cloud infrastructure, and secure system architecture.
- Stay updated with real industry shifts instead of marketing narratives — our industry trends category exists precisely for that.
- Learn how modern systems are actually built from engineers who spend their days doing exactly that.
Stay tuned
This is just the beginning.
We will be sharing what we build, what we learn, and what actually works in production systems as we continue to scale. If you want to understand how we think about technology — or if you are considering working with us — this blog is the best place to start.
